HEMLOCK'S HOLIDAY SEASONAL WRAPPING PAPER PROJECT BY ELEXIA JOHNSON
A Collaborative Effort on Holiday Wrapping Paper
Hemlock Printers invited three artist to help design their seasonal gift wrapping paper. This project is an opportunity for Hemlock to show off their printing capabilities to customers and stakeholders. As one of the designers on this project, I was responsible for designing two of the six sheets in the set.
About the Project
This was an enjoyable project and an opportunity to explore new meanings for holiday giving. Both sheets are my artistic expression of what the season of giving can look like. The first sheet represents a new take on the spirit of Christmas. I used illustrator to design her face, the wreath, and the flowers, and give a slight grain texture for an additional pop. The second sheet is called Endless Giving and has a pattern of hands highlighting diversity and how people come together when they give. You would not believe how many times my computer crashed while working on this project. But the end result was so worth it.
